The Bolton MRT wishes to extend its congratulations to the following colleagues mentioned in the New Years Honours Listing just published ;

Arthur William Littlefair, current Team Leader of Kirby Stephen Mountain Rescue Team, on being made a Member of the British Empire, for services to the community and Kirby Stephen MRT, which he joined in 1970, becoming Team Leader in 1991 to date.

Neal Kenneth Pickersgill, current Watch Manager with GMFRS Urban Search and Rescue Team, on being made a Member of the British Empire, for services to Search and Rescue in the UK and abroad.

David Eric Wilkins, of Holme Valley MRT, on receiving the British Empire Medal, for services to Community Scouting and Holme Valley MRT.

It was this time in 2007 that our current Team Leader, Vernon Garry Rhodes MBE was named in the New Years Honours for services to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, receiving his MBE from Her Majesty the Queen, at the Buckingham Palace Investiture of May 1st 2008.
