At 10.15hrs this frosty morning we were paged by NWAS (Manchester) Parkway EOC regarding an incident in woodlands off Wigan Lane, Whitley, Wigan.

The call was answered by our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, being informed an NWAS Rapid Response Vehicle was on scene, and the casualty was reported to be in woodlands.

Whilst gathering information, news came in to NWAS Control that the casualty could be accessed and that MRT assistance was not ultimately required.

A full team stand down was paged at 10.21hrs by which time, members were already responding to collect at least one team vehicle.
