Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

5th March 2013

One of our team collecting tins has been positioned on the counter in Bromley Cross News and Mini-Market on Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, Bolton since 2006. Long serving Support Group member, Iain Clarkson, regularly checks the tin for donations from the shop’s generous customers, and provides a Certificate of Thanks to the Manager, Craig Sunter, each time the tin is emptied.

At the end of each year, all sites which have raised over £100.00 in total for the first time during the year receive a special plaque of appreciation from Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, and it had become a subject of friendly banter between Iain and Craig as each year end approached and the coveted total was not quite reached!

So it was with great satisfaction and pleasure that Iain was able to reveal the total raised for 2012 of £103.60 and he visited Bromley Cross News recently to present the plaque to Craig and record the milestone with a photograph for our website.

Bromley Cross News has been supporting Bolton Mountain Rescue Team since 2006 and has raised so far the wonderful total of £473.97. The whole team wishes to thank Craig and his kind customers for their loyal support.
