On the evening of Tuesday 15th May this year, we were called out to assist NWAS (Manchester) Emergency Ambulance staff with the rescue and evacuation of a 13 year old boy who had suffered an ankle fracture in fields, in the Mosley Common area of Worsley. (Please see website ‘news’ Incident Report dated the same)
Today we are pleased to announce the receipt of a kind Christmas card from Diane Naylor, the grandmother of the young boy, Rico, who was involved in this accident.
In her Christmas card, Diane Naylor very kindly states;
“To the Mountain Rescue Team. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
“Thank you so much for coming to the aid of my grandson Rico when he broke his ankle in the fields earlier this year.”“Enclosed is a cheque donation for £50.00, we all think you do such a good job.”
“Lots of love from ‘Rico’s Nana,’ Rico and all his family. thanks again, Diane Naylor.”
Further to this very kind and thoughtful donation, Diane’s card was accompanied by a Thank you card from Rico himself.
In this very kind kind Rico has commented;
“To the Mountain Rescue Team. Thanks for rescuing me on the 15th May 2012.”
“I had jumped over the brook in Mosley Common and broken my ankle.”
“I have plates and screws in now. Lots of thanks, Rico.”
The whole team membership extends its Christmas wishes to Rico’s nana, and family, for such a thoughtful donation and kind comments, and we all hope of course that Rico continues along the path to a full recovery from his injury.
