Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

13th November 2012

This morning at the invitation of Craig Lunt, Red Watch, Watch Manager at GMFRS Horwich Fire Station, our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE and long serving and very experienced team member Gyles Denn, visited Red Watch to discuss some joint training opportunities, and also to give a demonstration of the comprehensive search and rescue equipment carried on board the team Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance they attended in.

Arriving at 10.00hrs, Garry and Gyles met with a very interested and enthusiastic Red Watch, with the first part of the morning spent looking at the latest GMFRS line rescue equipment and techniques, followed by a look at our kit for similar taskings.

The meeting finished at 13.00hrs with an exercise planned between Red Watch and the Bolton MRT for the morning and early afternoon of Saturday 8th December 2012.

Garry and Gyles would like to extend their thanks for the warm welcome received at Horwich Fire Station today.

(Former team Call Out list member Glynn McGann, is also a Watch Manager at Horwich Fire Station)
