This evening was a departure from our usual Wednesday nights training, with many dark and ghoulish things going on in the grounds surrounding our LadyBridge Hall Base / HQ.
We had invited children and their friends of team members to a special Halloween exercise where we had to find the good witch of the woodlands who had left treats for all the children to find.
Some say the scariest thing about the evening were Alan James’ trousers!
Twelve children in all attended with ages from the youngest aged 4, the oldest aged 14, who all took great delight in locating bags of sweets hanging underneath Halloween objects and light sticks in the woodland.
The good witch of LadyBridge (former team member Di James, wife of our Life Vice President Alan James, suitably dressed for the occasion!) handed out sweets to all of the children whenever they found her in the woods.
In total 19 team members and support group members Sarah Hindle and Laura Tunnicliffe kept a watchful eye on the children during this dark and wet evening.
Every child went away happy with a bag of sweets after earlier feasting on cakes, chocolate biscuits and other treats before setting off for their Halloween search.
Everybody had great fun tonight whether a child or a bigger child! And every bag of sweets was successfully located.
