We are very pleased to announce today a kind and very generous donation of £136.00 from our dear friends at Burnden Road Runners.

In a letter addressed to our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, Burnden Road Runners explained:

“Dear Mr Rhodes.

We have great pleasure in enclosing a cheque for £136.00 in respect of monies raised for your good cause at our Annual Trotters 5 Mile Trail Race.

On Sunday 2nd March the Club undertook to provide post – race refreshments to 300 runners, with all profits donated to your good selves.

The gesture was well received with many club members baking cakes at their own expense along with hot drinks and bacon sandwiches being prepared by a band of willing volunteers.

We chose yourselves as our nominated recipient of the profits, as a Club we feel indebted to yourselves for the work you undertake, allowing us to freely run the Moors and Trails around Bolton.
