Readers will recall that on Good Friday, 18th April 2014, we responded to an incident involving a young 11 years old girl, who had sustained a serious knee injury, after stumbling on the slopes of Rivington Pike.
The young girl, who had been enjoying the Good Friday festivities in the company of her father, uncle and cousin, was airlifted to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital by the North West Air Ambulance, Helimed 72. (Please see website ‘News’ report dated Good Friday, 18th April 2014)
This evening, via our ‘Facebook’ pages, we received the following kind message from Karen Southworth, the mother of the young girl involved in the incident:

“A massive, massive thank you to everyone involved in helping my daughter on Good Friday.
Her Dad, Uncle and cousin said you were all absolutely amazing and do a wonderful job.
I am so grateful to you all.
Astonishingly nothing was broken and there was luckily no tendon damage either and following surgery on Saturday, she returned home on Sunday and is doing well.
Thank you once again from all of us x.”
The whole team membership extends its well wishes to the young eleven year old girl involved, and for her continuing recovery back to full health.
