Regular readers may recall that we recently donated some surplus equipment items to our colleages in the ALSAR team, Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue.
We also pledged to donate free of charge our existing Control Trailer to NORLSAR once our new-build Control Vehicle comes into service.
Today we can report the receipt via our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, of a kind letter of thanks from Paul Chamberlain, Chairman and Team Leader of Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue Team (NORLSAR)
“On behalf of Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue, please pass on our thanks to your team members for their incredibly generous donations of lighting equipment and the offer of the Control Trailer which we would love to accept when your new vehicle “is on the run”.
There is already much excitement in Norfolk at its anticipated arrival.
You will be glad to hear that already some of the equipment is being called upon, a callout a 04:15AM on Sunday morning [26th August] saw me leave with the fully charged Magnum lights! Luckily, the missing person was found wandering by an off-duty Police Officer before we were deployed.
Once again, thank you for your generosity, and I hope we can build further on this relationship in the future.”
The Bolton MRT is happy to support colleague organisations as and when we are in the position to do so, as in this case with the donation of surplus equipment items.
