In our news item dated 13th August 2012, we reported on the visit to our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ by Paul Chamberlain, Chairman of Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue Team.
During Paul’s visit we made and discussed free of charge equipment donations to NORLSAR both now and in the immediate future of items that have been replaced or are about to be replaced within the Bolton MRT.
The following report has now been made on the website of Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue Team, within their websites ‘News’ section, and is reproduced here for our readers:
“Visit to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
As part of our current research into acquiring a control and equipment trailer NORLSAR Chair, Paul Chamberlain paid a visit to Bolton MRT at their Ladybridge Hall Base in Bolton to view their trailer.
Paul was met by Bolton MRT members Dave Marsh and Martin Banks, and Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE and Secretary Gillian Gregory.
In addition to viewing the control trailer, Paul was also presented with some of Bolton’s surplus Search and Rescue equipment for use by NORLSAR, this consisted of a number of hand lamps, a powerful search light, two scene lights and two specialist lightweight rescue stretchers.
Further conversations continued with regards to the practical use of the control trailer, however with Bolton MRT soon to purchase a Control Vehicle their Control Trailer will shortly become surplus. During these conversations, an offer was made by Bolton Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, of further Search and Rescue equipment and the actual control trailer being made available to NORLSAR when the new Bolton vehicle enters service, again this equipment would be donated free of charge.
NORLSAR are very grateful to their friends at Bolton MRT for their incredibly kind donations and the continuing support they are providing.”
Bolton Mountain Rescue Team are very happy to be helping our colleagues at Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue Team in this manner.
