On Sunday 18th May 2014, for the second year of its running, the team provided standby rescue cover for the Darwen Leisure Centre Aquathon – Fell Run Section, held over a course taking in Darwen Moor and Jubilee Tower, starting and ending in the vicinity of the Sunnyhurst Inn, Darwen.

Organised by Darwen with Blackburn Borough Council, we had fifteen team Call Out list members present, all around the course (which was marshalled by the organisers) in our four Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulances and our Incident Control Vehicle.

Today we are pleased to announce the receipt of a very kind donation of £150.00 from Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council for our support to this event.
