Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

3rd August 2014

On Thursday 31st July 2014 Team Call out list member, our Treasurer Martin Banks, visited Playdays Nursery, Blackrod to talk about Mountain Rescue, like they have in ‘Fireman Sam.’

Martin, also known as Felicity’s daddy, had been spotted by a worker from his daughter’s nursery at a recent standby rescue cover.

On his next drop off he was asked if he would be able to come to the nursery to talk about Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.

So on Thursday, Martin journeyed to Blackrod in our Mountain Rescue Land Rover Ambulance, radio call sign ‘Bolton Mobile 3,’ and spent an hour talking to different classes and showing them the Land Rover with all its blue flashing lights.

The children also met Rory, one of our Team Mascots, then all got to see what was in Martin’s rucksack which he takes on all Call Outs.
