Tomorrow from 10.00am until 5.00pm, the team will be joining GMP, GMFRS, NWAS (Manchester) and a huge number of other voluntary emergency and voluntary aid groups at this years (Greater Manchester) Emergency Services Open Day event at the intu Trafford Centre.
The Co-ordination of this years event has been by Gethin Curzon, GMFRS Station Manager, Stretford Fire Station.
Now in its fourth year, this event is widely regarded to be one of the biggest of its kind in the UK, with a large number of emergency and response vehicles attending, alongside emergency incident demonstrations.
As with the previous three years we will be displaying all of our emergency vehicles at the 2014 event, including our four Land Rover Ambulance vehicles, our Minibus / Crewbus Ambulance, our Incident Control Vehicle and our SAR Boat along with exhibition material relating to the work of the team.
Please try to come along and visit this event, there really is a lot to see and take part in, with items to interest all, from the young to the old, it’s a great family day out and what’s more it is completely free.
For a report on the previous years events please view the entries on our website for 8th August 2013, 22nd August 2012 and 10th August 2011.
