Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

23rd August 2014

Our good friends and staunch supporters, Helen & Neil Grundy of Tottington, play their alphorns as The Holcombe Duo during the summer months, weather permitting, outside the Tearooms in the Jumbles Country Park, Bradshaw, with all donations from the appreciative listeners being for Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.

We recently received their latest collections, raised during 2013 and 2014, which amounted to the wonderful total of £190.45.

Helen and Neil have been playing their music for us since 2007 and have, so far, raised donations from the kind and generous public to a total of £1,234.94, and what better way to raise money for a Mountain Rescue Team than by playing mountain instruments. Our readers may be interested to visit The Holcombe Duo website: www.holcombeduo.co.uk, for more information about their events.

The generous support from Helen & Neil is very much appreciated by all our members, and we also wish to say thank you to all the walkers and riders visiting the Jumbles Country Park who have appreciated their special kind of music and dropped their coins (and banknotes!) into our collecting boxes as a result.
