Readers will recall that on 8th July 2014 our Team Secretary, Gillian Gregory, and team member, Martin Battersby, attended Clevelands Preparatory School’s Prize Giving Ceremony to receive a presentation cheque of £650.
Bolton Mountain Rescue Team had been chosen as their charity to support throughout the 2013-14 school year and the money had been raised from the sale of refreshments, baking cakes, sale of goods, and the school Summer Fair.
Yesterday, Friday 12th September, Gillian visited the school office again, this time to hear the final total raised, when all outstanding monies were added, including the contents of one of our collecting boxes used for donations for refreshments on the Prize Giving Day (which amounted to £40.89)
We are delighted to announce that Clevelands Preparatory School has raised a fantastic total of £742.29!
We are very grateful for the support of staff, children, parents and school supporters, for all their enthusiasm and effort in raising such a marvellous sum of money, and wish to pass on our sincere and appreciated thanks to them all.
