Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

5th July 2012

Early today we received a copy of an email sent by GMP Missing Person Search Manager Sgt Simon Booth on Wednesday 4th July 2012, to Peter Hyde, Trustee / Director (And a former Deputy Team Leader) of Oldham Mountain Rescue Team.

“Peter, Please could you pass on my thanks to the Bolton, Oldham and Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Teams that attended Bowlee Park, Middleton during the evening of Tuesday 03/07/2012.

The combined resources of the above teams provided 60 staff at the RVP within a very short period of time.

This represents a truly excellent effort / response on behalf the Mountain Rescue Organisation and one that meant we were able to search far more than I was anticipating during the remaining hours of daylight.

As you can imagine I was kept quite busy documenting the progress of the search and as a result I did not get chance to personally thank all of your team.

Could I ask that you forward this email to the Team Leaders of each MRT in order that it can be brought to the attention of all the team members that attended.”
